I was born and raised in SW Ontario (Essex County).

My professional life has taken me far and wide, from Detroit to New York, Beijing and Toronto. I have been a resident of Ridgetown since 2019.

My foundation is in the creative arts: visual, music and media production. I’ve exhibited my artwork internationally, been commissioned by major publications and served as art director for CBC and Sir Paul McCartney.

As an entrepreneur I have developed a successful online educational program for schools, started a joint venture business in China and participated in trade missions.

As a licensed Realtor® I have assisted both families and businesses in the buying and selling of property in Chatham-Kent.

All of these activities require vision and practical application of creativity to achieve a successful result.

I am dedicated to fulfilling the great potential of our communities. For the past 18 months I have proactively created a successful media campaign to promote the potential of Chatham Kent to attract investment and inspire growth.

If I am elected I will bring a fresh vision and a clear voice to council.

Infrastructure

In terms of infrastructure development, Ward 2 communities have been overlooked for too long. I am dedicated to attracting growth driven capital investment in water, sewer and roads to stimulate growth. Stagnation is not an option.

Growth

Infrastructure development paves the way for investment from the private sector. I will bring creativity combined with common sense to promote our region to attract new investment. It is time for a change.

Taxes

Successful businesses create a broader tax base and further investment in our community. Ever increasing property taxes are not a sustainable strategy. I will work to create the conditions that reduce our over-reliance on property taxes..

The Hub

A revitalized Chatham core will benefit the whole region. The Hub can be a positive development, but it must be part of comprehensive revitalization vision that also includes smaller regional towns and rural locations.

Arena / OHL

A decades old issue that remains unresolved. As part of a comprehensive revitalization vision, an intelligently placed arena with an OHL franchise can be of great benefit to the entire Chatham – Kent region in terms of business and tax revenue.

Waste to Energy

We live in uncertain times, both politically and economically. A Chatham – Kent supplier of RNG and fertilizer may be particularly timely and advantageous, given the likely long term instability in the Strait of Hormuz (and other areas),

Vision

“Insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results (Einstein).’” Certain issues have been languishing for decades. I will bring fresh vision and creativity to our community conversation, to achieve practical solutions.

In my professional life I have worked with corporate and government leaders, major brands, media figures and diverse teams of professionals. I know what it means to lead and collaborate to achieve positive results.

Stagnation vs. Potential

Empty storefronts and abandoned buildings telegraph a message of economic stagnation, administrative neglect and lack of infrastructure development. There is great potential locked inside these neglected properties; it’s time to start enforcing standards and enabling the revitalization of our rural communities!
